Mardi Gras in the Atlantic

Mardi Gras in the Atlantic
Hey loves!

I have decided to do a look using products from the MAC Dare to Wear collection. This makeup look was inspired by Makeup by Ren Ren. She never ceases to amaze me with her bright makeup tutorials! Before I head off to the products used and photos, I'm just going to let you know that this look would come out a LOT better if you use other products that are similar shades; for instance, the eBay 120 palette. If you've seen my Dare to Wear haul video, you know exactly why. If you don't, go check it out! Here's the look!

You can keep up with my status by following me on Twitter. I will update as soon as I can and feel well enough to. I have a BUNCH of tutorials saved on my laptop to have to upload during my down time. Stay tuned for more tutorials next week!!!

Bright Peacock

Bright Peacock
Hey everyone!

Today, I decided to do a look using my 120 palette from eBay! I absolutely LOVE it now! I was tweeting one of my Twitter followers, ReeRee_MUA, and we were discussing the palette. She's around the same skin tone as me, and she said that she uses her NYX Jumbo Eye Pencils as her primary base to make the colors stick and less powdery. For this look, I did the same and it worked like a charm! I am more used to using Too Faced Shadow Insurance as a primary base or my Groundwork paint pot, but obviously that's a bad idea to use with this palette!

Anyway, I was inspired by stillGLAMOROUS to create this look. She did the same look using her 120 palette. Here's what I used for mine!!!

Neutral Coral Crepe

Neutral Coral Crepe

Before I post this, I know it's going to be pretty obvious in the video and photos that I'm tired out of my mind. Summer school exams are KILLING me!!! DO NOT take 12 hours during the summer unless you absolutely HAVE to! I'm just doing so to graduate a year early, and it's kicking my butt, I'll tell you that much. I know it'll be worth it in the end, so I just put God first and keep moving!

Anyway, a few weeks ago, I did a coral look using MAC Coral Crepe paint pot, which was more dramatic than the one I'm showing in this post. A few people asked that I do a more wearable version, and this was my result!!!

Eyebrow Update!!!

Hey everyone!

I finally reached 100 followers on here. Yayyyy!!! You guys are awesome ;) Here's a quick blog post on how I do my eyebrows. Of course, I have to study again. This time for THREE exams!!! July 29th, so farrrr away, yet so close! Anyway, here's the steps! Check out the video to watch them in action!!!

***DISCLAIMER***
I paid for all products used.

Step 1: Pluck/razor, shave off (just teasing) those bad boys. Literally RIGHT AFTER I filmed this tutorial, I tweezed for my first time. I LOVE IT!!! I used to use brow razors. Adios, suckaaaaaas.
Step 2: Moisturize those babies. I use plain old eye cream. Also be sure to massage it underneath your hairs. Allow to dry before following with the next step.
Step 3: Use a STIFF brow brush to line the bottom of your brows with an eye shadow darker than your hair color. Outline the shape and arch you want.
Step 4: Dust the brush off, or use another to outline the top of your brows with an eye shadow lighter than your hair color. Use that same color to fill your brows in.
Step 5: Use another thinner angled brush to apply the Ben Nye creme highlight underneath your brows. If you are planning on wearing foundation, you may do the same to the top of the brows. Blend the highlight down and up.
Step 6: Use a spoolie to blend out the brows, concentrating mostly at the beginning.
Step 7: Go back and repeat steps as needed.

With the Ben Nye creme highlight, you may have to mix a tiny dab of eye cream with it because it is drying, on me at least. Hope this helped! Enjoy!!!

XOXO,
Candie

MommaGee's Photo Shoot Contest Entry #1

Hello everyone!

If you follow me on Twitter, you'd know that I stated if I received another A on my exam, I would upload a tutorial/post a blog entry. Well, guess what? I got an A on my Finance exam!!! So excited!!!

I have decided to enter MommaGee's Photo Shoot Contest, in which you had to recreate 1 of the 6 photos she provided on her YouTube channel. I decided to go with the Jennifer Lopez one for this one (I think that's her lol).

(image credit to wherever MommaGee got this photo from)

I'm planning on submitting 2 more entries, depending on whether or not my eye allergies go away soon. I filmed this one yesterday, and when I removed my makeup, my left tear duct was SUPER swollen!
