April 2010 Favorites

Hey everyone!

This post is going to be short and simple and feature my favorite beauty products for the month of April. I was NOT prepared for this video; as a result, I pulled random frequently used products off my vanity while I filmed this video, lol. Here’s my favorites though in no particular order!

***DISCLAIMER***
I paid for all featured products. Just because these products may work for me, doesn’t necessarily mean they will work for you.

1) MAC Moisturelush eye cream—Awesome eye cream for my peeps with dry skin on the eyes. I don’t know about other skin types. I also like the Garnier Skin Renew eye cream. I recently found out they test their products on animals. So, I have to change my shampoo/conditioner now too, smh.
2) MAC 227 brush—Omg. Perfect brush for blending out harsh edges ANYWHERE on the eye. I particularly like using it for blending out the crease color. If you do not own this brush or something similar, get it.
3) Sigma 275 brush—I love this brush for applying my brow highlight. It’s so precise and soft. I like using the MAC 227 for actually blending the highlight color downward into the other shades.
4) Sigma 239 brush—Sooo much better than the MAC 239, IMO. It’s the perfect sized brush for applying color on my lid and it packs wayyy more color on than the MAC one does. Packing on color is especially important for all my dramatic looks, lol.
5) Sigma 219 brush—Unfortunately, I don’t currently own the MAC 219; I only own the short-handled one. I almost always use this color to apply color on my lower lash line, or to sometimes concentrate color on my outer V/crease area.
6) MAC Groundwork paint pot—This is the most perfect eye shadow base that matches almost perfectly with my skin tone! This is my go-to eye shadow base no matter what color combinations I may wear. I change occasionally, but I always this always manages to suck me back in.
7) MAC Chamomile eye shadow—Perfect highlight shade for my skin tone. It’s not frosted, so it can practically work with anything. By the way, I don’t think it’s anything like MAC Vanilla eye shadow, contrary to popular belief.
8) Lush Celestial Moisturizer—This works extremely well with my dry skin. It doesn’t take much to coat my entire face unlike my previously used Clean & Clear moisturizer. My skin type is dry-sensitive-normal for reference.
9) Lush Aqua Marina Face Cleanser—This works really well with the moisturizer. It has seaweed in it, which I’ve heard is really good for dry skin. I noticed that when I tried to go back to my old Clean & Clear products, my face broke out disastrously! I don’t know what happened! I guess Lush and I were meant to be…in terms of cleansing products, that is.

That’s it for my April favorites! My neutral makeup tutorial should be up in a few days!!!

XOXO,
Candie
