I haven’t brought any light to this on the blog yet, but for those who don’t know, I do live in Baton Rouge, where we recently had an insane amount of flooding and disaster. Good news is that I am fine, but most of my family and friends have been displaced, some even trapped.
We were fortunate enough to get the majority of my friends and family out, but a few of my friends are still stranded in areas where no one is able to reach, including my photographer, Karli. Please keep her and her family in your prayers. I have been keeping in contact with her as her phone gains service to make sure she’s okay and doesn’t need me to send help. It’s certainly going to take a while for us to rebuild, but by God we will!
On another note, I’m still channeling my inner 70s! This patched skirt was an item that was picked out by my mom at H&M in Orlando! Great pick Mom. It pairs nicely with this mustard cold shoulder blouse 🙂

I am glad that you are okay – how scary for those you know trapped by the floodwaters. We have seen a lot about it here, it is crazy what’s happening but we are hearing lots of good news stories of rescues and people helping out so that’s wonderful 🙂
