Burst Into Tiers

how to wear a statement sleeve blouse, the beauty beau

Happy Saturday! I am finally back in Dallas with my love and I have to say how much I’ve missed him! I was pretty sad to leave my dad behind, but I know he is a much better shape than he was a few weeks ago. For those who haven’t seen, his surgery was a success and he is healing nicely.

I just have to somehow convince him to walk more to help the healing process along. I’m not sure if I went into specifics here, but he had heart surgery, where he received an artificial valve implant. They basically removed a vein in his inner thigh to place near his heart. It sounds like such a complicated procedure, but thank God he pulled through and is healing nicely. He is such a trooper! Thank God he was so active before going into surgery. I really think that’s what helped his surgery go so well and also allowed him to heal so well.

He’s hoping to return to work and back to his pastures within another 6 weeks and I have no doubt about him doing that. He’s so strong-willed for his age and I’m so thankful! Often as people age, they tend to sit around the house more, which is so far from being good for your health. Anyway, I will continue to keep you all posted on that. For now, enjoy a look I wore during the time I spent in Louisiana! ☺️

I am so glad your dad’s surgery went well and walking is a great way to recover and get back into the groove of things. I’m digging this look especially that top because it’s just a statement piece and those boots are so fierce!

I love your blouse – it looks like it would be a great piece to transition into fall with Jean shorts. Looks great on you too.

Holy moly those shoes are stunning! I love this whole look!

It’s so hard to leave loved ones behind, I always get sad when I leave my mom (and I live with her!) But we create such a strong bond and it’s hard to do things without them. My mom will be moving to south Carolina soon and I’m staying behind to be with my man also, such a hard decision! It’s even harder when you go through something like what you just went through with your dad and his surgery. You feel like you need to be their protector. Sorry for rambling ! Loved your post!
