For the past couple of years, I have been rocking my button front skirt and I am still as much in love as I was then! I just love the many styles that they come in, ranging from maxi to mini length and A-line to loose fit. You may also remember me wearing a maxi, chambray version in this post…absolute love!
It’s no secret that bomber jackets are trending. I remember a few years ago when I went crazy and bought like 3 at once lol. Luckily for you, you don’t have to splurge on one. You can be trendy without anyone knowing you didn’t break the bank. Look the bomb with Boohoo! Boohoo has several options under $50, others even lower than than that. Take a quick glance at a few my favorites. I will star* my absolute favorites. Happy shopping!
I promised more of these dedicated trend posts, so here’s another one and I am quite excited to show you! Cue the skinny scarf! The skinny scarf is everywhere. On the streets, on runways, on my favorite blogs. It’s all the way up my alley! They can quickly throw in a masculine edge to an outfit, or likewise dress down an otherwise too dressy outfit. In other words, I love them! I cannot believe it’s taken me so long to score one. No worries though; I’ll be grabbing 1 or 2 of these babies very soon!
Here are some of my favorite outfit posts from other bloggers styling the skinny scarf (all photos are clickable):
Dani from Mermaid Waves
Besides being a genius way to style a skinny scarf, this outfit from Dani gives the idea of how I can make my shirt dresses work for cold weather without wearing tights underneath.
I don’t currently own a fur vest, but this outfit from Louise Xin makes me want one. It’s an effortless mix of feminine and masculine, which is what I live for.
Brittany from Thrifts & Threads
Brittany has quickly become one of my top fashion bloggers. Not only is her style on point, but she also offers tips to help other bloggers prosper. Very few bloggers are this unselfish. I can’t wait to try this outfit on myself!
Sydne from Sydne Style
Can you say date night? The skinny jeans, clutch and single sole heels that Sydne selected brings up the classy vibe and the blazer tones it down the slightest notch.
Katarina from Katiquette
Katarina gave me an idea for another look I may try soon. The best thing about this outfit is that I already have each item worn in my closet!
Erica from Fashioned Chic
Erica shares another look that features pieces easily accessible to me. I can see this outfit looking equally just as awesome with loafers or Chelsea boots. So many possibilities!
The minute I score one of the skinny scarves featured above, you can expect a personal styling post! Also, any ideas for future trend posts are welcome. Talk soon beauties 😉
One trend I have been noticing on my usual online shopping sites is the button-front skirt. These scream 70s to me. I love them and the fact that they come in various fabrics and styles. I have seen them in suede, leather and denim. They are so versatile and you can use them for transitioning and even for winter paired with tights underneath. If mini skirts aren’t your thing, midi and even longer lengths are offered as options. They can be worn with a variety of shoes too, so don’t feel you have to go get an entire wardrobe to make this skirt work. Be creative with what you already have! Also this one is available (forgot to include it above (image credit to Boohoo)): Available HERE
What I didn’t tell you is that I already own one: I went the caged heel route with mine. I absolutely adore the camo print on this skirt. It adds a little lagniappe IMO, especially since I haven’t seen this particular style anywhere else. Come back tomorrow for an OOTD featuring this skirt! In the meantime, this skirt is available for purchase here!
By the way, those of you who have been wondering what “lagniappe” is, we use it a lot down here in Louisiana. It means “a little something extra.” Just FYI 😉
