So I have a confession to make…it is nearly impossible to keep decent looking nails working where I work. I work in the telecommunications industry and I’m constantly touching and taking equipment apart. I believe my nails along with my cuticles look pretty decent to say I do that on a full-time basis. Had to get that disclaimer out there before showing you my hit cuticles, yikes! They’re not that bad though, I promise. It’s still better than showing you my FEET!
Milani Cosmetics released these nail polishes some time back and I am just getting an opportunity to really try them out. I had acrylics for over half the year and I gave my nails some recovery time with nail strengthener. Though I’m not quite ready to get back into acrylics yet, I was more than excited to experiment with these nail polishes! I’m so mad I didn’t try these before now; they’re awesome! Take a look at the opaqueness 😉
Polish shade: Imperial Purple
Glitter Polish: Club Lights
That purple is just gorgeous. I really could have worn one layer, but I have a habit of liking 2 or more. The shade above is a result of 2 coats. I also layered 2 layers of Club Lights on top of my ring finger.
Want to know a secret? I’m not wearing any top coat, only a base coat. Yeah, go ahead and scream at me. I find my polish lasts longer without it. When I must use a top coat, I generally go for Seche Vite.
Side note: my nails lasted for 3 full days without chipping. That’s outstanding to say the least, especially with the work I do.
Final verdict: I love these polishes from Milani. Expect more NOTW using more 🙂
