how to wear a sweater dress when it's hot

I literally just included “how to wear a sweater dress when it’s hot” in the alt text of one of my pics. No seriously, I did lol. It is so hot right now, it’s not even funny. It was cold just a few days ago…craziness!

The best I could do in the time allotted was to roll the sleeves up and wear extremely thin panties so I wouldn’t fall out in the heat. I made sure to tell my photographer to make this outfit as fast as possible. I’m sure she had to work overtime to edit out my sweat…sorry Karli 🙁

Nonetheless, this is a great dress for transitioning and I did had to alter it. My legs are so long and this high slit was way higher. I’m sure this dress was originally made for someone with legs a lot shorter than mine, so I would say…if you’re around 5’5″ or shorter, you may be good to go without any alterations. I’m 5’8″ for reference. I’d still rock it regardless, though I believe I may add a little more coverage to the bottom. I had quite a few hiccups during this shoot, where I’m sure at least 1 or 2 people saw more than they should have. Happy Friday to them I guess, haha!

  3. Even though you were melting on the inside, you don’t look hot at all in these photos. I love this bodycon sweater dress and it look amazing on you. This is such a fab look with these over the knee boots. xoxo, Christine

  4. Ha! I can relate all too well to wardrobe mishaps! I can’t tell you someone has seen me changing in my car between Outfit shoots! 🙈 Alas, love the draping of the dress, super flattering! Great for someone that wants to create the illusion of more curves! Great find.

It does sound super hot there! It’s like that here too. I wore a thicker, long sleeved dress out the other morning only to overheat and quickly regret my choice! Still, there is something about a light grey, long sleeved mini-skirt dress, isn’t there?
