As the holidays approach year after year, we tend to spend more and more, not saving enough money where we can. One thing I have always wanted that I never had is the ability to get a percentage back upon making a purchase. I mean, sure, there are plenty of cash back sites out there, but none of them I’ve used give you your money back instantly. There’s always a waiting period. With the Dosh app, it gives you a list of participating stores in the area you’re in that give you a percentage cash back just as a thank you for shopping! 😁
This past week, I mainly bought a few new gifts for Christmas, but you could just as easily purchase your usual household items and save. In my area, there are many merchants that participate in the Dosh app.
I started my day off shopping at Sam’s Club, who happened to offer 2% cash back!
On the screen above, you can see a sampling of merchants and the varying percentages they offer in cash back. You can search by city, state or zip. You can also have the app auto-populate your current location, or search for online merchants, as you can also score cash back for shopping there as well!
Dosh not only offers cash back for shopping in stores, but participating restaurants as well. I was able to grab a quick lunch to eat at Palio’s Pizza Cafe and earn 5% in cash back just for eating!
We all know how versatile Walmart is in their offerings for clothing, pharmacy items and other miscellaneous items. Just imagine the amount of cash back you can earn just for stocking up on groceries, Christmas decorations and other necessities at 6% cash back. I got a few medicines to prep for flu and winter season in general!
With wintertime approaching, I needed a few more fitness pieces for my wardrobe that were warmer. Academy did not disappoint in their selections that were already marked down, and getting 5% cash back just for using the Dosh app was extra icing on the cake!
In my eyes, Forever 21 has always had trendy pieces at affordable prices. It actually happens to be one of my favorite stores to shop. That in mind, I knew I could find a holiday attire at a steal. I also knew that Dosh offered 5% cash back for shopping at Forever 21, so that only meant additional savings on items I can only wear one holiday per year!
Also you may be wondering what happens if you have multiple credit cards and if the Dosh app only lets you use one…nope! I added multiple cards to mine and in the event I only bring 1 card from home, it’ll already be programmed into the app so I don’t have to worry about it later.
After I was done with shopping, I decided to check out other restaurant offerings in my area to see which others offered cash back on Dosh. Turns out one of my favorite veggie burger joints, JC’s Burger House had 5% cash back! I was able to eat healthy and not break the bank too much by eating out again!
A couple of days later, Sephora sent me a 15% off coupon to my email, which I took full advantage of, knowing that Dosh also offered 4% cash back. When you have actual coupons, it gives you even more of an incentive to shop, since you save more money with the app stacked with it. I picked up some new skincare!
With all the cash back I received from shopping at all these places, I was definitely able to save more money for holiday gifts, which are sure to be expensive with the extensive, never-ending list that I have to get. I highly recommend using Dosh when you’re out and about. New stores and restaurants are constantly being added, so you never know when your favorites will be on the app. There are even fuel stations on there, in case you want to get gas. The possibilities are truly endless!
