Simple Carne Asada Street Tacos with Tyson Tastemakers

*I was asked by Carusele to participate in the #TysonTastemakers campaign, sponsored by Tyson Tastemakers. Although I have been compensated, all opinions are my own.

With my daily busy schedule, I am constantly looking for ways to prepare fresh meals for my family that are not only yummy, but quick and affordable. I also happen to be a very lazy grocery shopper, so the fewer times I have to run to the grocery store, the better. Thanks to Tyson Tastemakers, I can literally grab a meal (or 2) and go, all of its ingredients needed being in one package!

For those who weren’t already aware, I am a very visual person. Having step-by-step instructions made preparing the Carne Asada Street Tacos much easier for my family, especially having just a few simple steps! Everything was already pre-prepped in their own little packages, making the preparation of this meal a breeze. No meal prep required!

Another thing to note is that all the veggies featured in the Tyson Tastemakers kits are fresh, the meat is all-natural and pre-marinated and already seasoned. What a bonus!

The first thing I did was prep my onions for garnish, in which they were already sliced. I simply added my seasoning packet that was provided, heated them in the microwave for a couple of minutes, and let them marinate in the fridge while I prepared everything else for the meal!

The next step was to cook the beans, which also were already seasoned and packaged separately. I can’t tell you how paining it is to wash and prepare beans otherwise. It took seconds to add the beans from the Tyson Tastemakers kit to water and to cook. What a major cut down on time!

While the beans were cooking, I moved onto the protein…that beef! It was already marinated and seasoned, so this also saved me a lot of time. Normally I’m also used to breaking beef into smaller pieces for tacos, so I did that here as well. Doing this also gives you more to eat too…haha! *shrugs*

I had the tortillas warming in another skillet during this time as well. My family prefers a softer taco, so I didn’t cook them for too long. Feel free to leave them in a bit longer though…your choice!

Now comes my favorite part, in record time…plating! I am still in shock that all of this took less than 45 minutes. It usually takes me about that time just to prepare the meat. I literally felt like I was on Masterchef being so fast!

Hey! Don’t judge me for adding more salsa verde. Everyone in my household loves it!

Aren’t they beautiful? I still can’t believe how quickly I was able to make them. Literally no minutes were wasted and I love how you can multitask with different portions of the meal, all while staying on task getting it done!

Tyson Tastemakers Meal Kits are currently only available in Texas retailers (Walmart, HEB, Target, Kroger, Albertsons and Tom Thumb) and also, via Amazon Fresh, Prime Now and jet.com if you aren’t in Texas.

In these stores, they can be found in your local grocer’s meat section for an SRP of only $19.99, each kit being 3 servings. I actually got mine from Walmart, where there was a $6 off coupon on the package. I ended up getting about 10 meals in varying varieties. Great time to stock up, if you ask me!

If anything, you can click here to see where you can buy these delicious and fresh meal kits! I just can’t wait to try all the other flavors and share them with my family (and also spend less time in the kitchen…muahahahaha). Happy Shopping!

  6. I am drooling as I am reading this. Those carne asada tacos look delicious! I love how easy it is to make and how everything is included in the package. But most importantly, I love that it is all natural and fresh. Making meals for the family takes so much time thinking about it, prepping it and cooking it, but Tyson makes it easy with their tastemakers. I am definitely going to pick a few of these up at the grocery store today! xoxo, Christine

  11. If there’s something I love it’s a good taco and if there’s something I love even more is one that is effortless! As I don’t live in Texas I’ll have to check the website out for sure as making food shouldn’t be time consuming, yet I don’t want to compromise on taste or quality!

Those came out looking super yummy! I’ve never heard of Tyson Tastemakers and it looks like a great way to make a quick meal and still have all the amazing fresh ingredients. One thing about quick meals are the lack of fresh ingredients, so I’m happy to see that this isn’t the case here 🙂 I love how everything is already pre-marinated and seasoned. That part alone saves so much time!

This looks good… 🙂 I am pretty lazy too at grocery shopping, this will be really my go to. And the fact that they prep most of the things makes it even a better choice.
