Thank you Decoy for sponsoring this post.
The first quarter of the year not only marks one of the best seasons, but it also marks the infamous Awards Season. It’s that time of the year where many people come together to watch and even throw parties. When thinking of these parties, one may think of the more prestigious get togethers, such as those in Hollywood and New York, but that definitely doesn’t have to be the case. You can throw your own party right at home or your home city with your loved one(s). You can unwind with Decoy, and have serious wines within reach! 😉
For longer than I can recall, Decoy has been a top wine brand of choice in our home. For one, Decoy has a reputation for providing high quality wines at amazing prices, all under $25. It’s an everyday wine brand, no matter what the occasion or time of year!
The first Decoy wine was created more than 25 years ago and they are currently in the Duckhorn Portfolio of wines. Their lineup includes Red Blend, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, California Rosé and Sauvignon Blanc. Decoy has a long established reputation for high quality wine and there’s many reasons for that, one of them being having acquired the Ridgeline Vineyard in the Alexander Valley appellation. This happens to be Sonoma County’s best region for growing Bordeaux varietals. It’s a steep vineyard with grapes that are used in 3 of Decoy’s varieties!
For one, there are so many varieties to select from, no matter what your palate may crave. No matter what your choice in cuisine is, you are sure to find one that you like for the perfect pairing. You can equally choose from any of the offerings for any celebration, including any awards show watch parties. Keshaun and I decided to have a little celebration of our own with 2 of their releases, their Cabernet Sauvignon and California Rosé!
The Cabernet Sauvignon has been crafted since 1978 and has layers of blackberry, black cherry, notes of mocha, star anise and spearmint. Though it has multiple flavors, it’s quite satisfying and delicious on the palate!
The Rosé is inspired by Provence and is made from a mixture of Syrah and Pinot Noir, created in 2017. This rosé is unlike typical rosés, as it is harvested at lower Brix to make it drier. It’s also fermented in stainless steel to preserve all the yummy fruit flavors. Though Keshaun and I enjoyed a little of both wines, Rosé was the variety we enjoyed first. Regardless of the variety you choose, a glass or 2 of Decoy wine is the perfect way to unwind and enjoy the awards show of your choice and also enjoy your loved ones’ company! 😄
Grab your significant other, or a group of your closest pals (over the age of 21) and enjoy all the festivities awards season has to offer. Whether it’s a small group or large gathering, Decoy wines are the perfect choice! With all the varieties and flavors in each bottle, you can definitely unwind with Decoy.
