Ignite Your Obsession with EcoTools at ULTA

Good morning beauties! Today, I am bringing you a review and tutorial on these amazing new brushes I was just introduced to by EcoTools, New Look, Innovative Brush Cuts and Always Eco Friendly Footprint. Ignite your obsession for beauty with EcoTools sponges and makeup brushes from ULTA!

Ever since I’ve been a makeup artist, I have always been curious about them, but never got around to testing them out. Imagine my excitement when I got the opportunity to try some out! Before I get into how awesome these are, let me show them to you 🙂

It was totally unintentional to have both a wooden backdrop and bamboo decor for this shoot, but since I had them both handy, I figured, why not? Haha 😀

I was gifted 5 packages of items to review and I ended up using 3 out of the bunch for the tutorial. I will start with the set from left to right!

EcoTools 5 Piece Starter Set

This set is exactly what it says, a starter set. The 5 brushes pretty much provide the basics you need for a makeup application, an eyebrow/eyelash brush, an eyeshadow brush, a powder/blush brush, concealer brush and an angled liner brush. This set also comes with a nice carrying case that stores and secures all the brushes!

Now onto the brushes I actually used in the tutorial! I actually used my EcoTools brushes to try out a trend in 2017, greenery and I am so impressed with how flawless my skin looks 🙂

I did a bold and colorful, spring makeup tutorial inspired by the Pantone Color of the Year…green!

The only brush pictured that I didn’t use was the powder brush on the left. Very rarely do I use powder brushes unless I’m wearing powder foundation, which is also pretty rare haha. This brush; however, is pretty soft and feels so good against my skin! I used the entire Enhancing Eye Set in my makeup tutorial. Click the “play” button below to visually see exactly how I used each brush!

I also love how both brushes are double ended. It’s so convenient and keeps everything simple. For the 2nd brush, I used the “Define” end for my winged eye liner and also to smudge color along the lower lash line. I love how that side can be used in more than one way. The “Shade” end was used to pack intense color onto my eyelids. This is one of my favorite eye brushes now!

The last brush was used for the deeper color in my outer V and crease area, the “Smudge” end. It’s stiff enough to pack on color, yet soft enough to blend and sweep. The “Blend” end was used to diffuse color into my crease to eliminate harsh lines. It did the job pretty quickly and efficiently, so I was really happy about that!

I am a bit biased when it comes to this set; it’s why I showed the highlight brush first rather than the define brush. Fan brushes are my favorite. I am a huge geek over the shape and how effortlessly it glides across the cheekbones when applying color. Both of these are a win in my book!

These sponges are none like I’ve used in the past; like the brushes I’ve shown above, they are multitaskers. While you can use the entire sponge to apply liquid products, I prefer the flatter end for quicker coverage. The round end can be used to blend and layer product. They can also be used interchangeably and collectively with EcoTools brushes. I used the sponge on the left for my under eye concealer and the one on the right for my foundation. I used them dry, but you can definitely use them wet before application as well!

I am SOOOO in love with your voice!! Your accent is amazing! I haven’t heard it before. Do you sing?
I have some of these brushes!! They are really good! I like the idea of them being made of bamboo and that they are sold in our supermarkets too, so you can grab them easily. I have to try their beauty blenders. I feel pretty stupid that I never really knew what to do with a fan brush. That’s what it is for! haha It’s one that I haven’t ever used, but have. Your makeup is always so punchy and cool. LOVE the green on you!
