Back to School Style with Mudd at Kohl’s

No matter what time of year it is, I always prefer deals when I shop. They help stretch your money further, allowing you to spend money on other things. This is especially important when shopping for school. Ain’t nobody got time to be spending an arm and a leg on school clothes and being broke before school even begins. Mudd was established in 1995 with the launch of the flare jean and has since broadened into several other categories and denim styles. It’s a jean brand I’ve worn for years and I can clearly remember my first pair of Mudd flares that were probably riding much lower than I’d wear them now! 🤣

Another thing I love about Mudd is how they’re feminine, yet free-spirited and if y’all know me, I’m a huge tomboy with a slight feminine style. It’s a match made in heaven for me! The pieces I’m sharing with you today are not only trendy, but versatile. They can easily be worn to school, you can lounge around in them, or dress them up! 😎

As I mentioned, versatility is important to most when school shopping. I know I have personally always believed in making the most of everything in my closet for school, to once again, maximize money spent, while also having a variety of outfit options. For this back to school shopping haul, I picked up 5 items, which I could easily mix and match to create several different looks. I will be starting with this camouflage tank from Mudd and Mudd jeans. A classic pair of jeans will never go out of style, especially these gently distressed ones that are more dress code friendly. They come in a variety of rises, from low rise to high rise, with so many denim hues and colors to choose from! Camouflage print is also always a great choice to stay on trend for fall! 💚

These Mudd skinny jeans are ones that can be worn with any Mudd shirts, giving you plenty of other options for looks. I also got this tank shown in the next few images, which also coordinates perfectly and it’s also right on trend with the button front!

Another style that’s super comfortable for school are dresses. I was quite surprised at the wide selection of Mudd dresses there were to offer at Kohl’s. No matter if you like knit, maxi, mini or printed, Kohl’s has them all! It’s even better that you can get as many as you’d like at a deal. I chose to go with this simple black one, as it can be worn solo, with a blouse over it (which you’ll see in the look after this one), and with virtually any accessory. This one is so stretchy and comfortable. Whether you’re doing a lot of walking across campus, or sitting in desks all day, that is a trait that’s equally important for both!

What I love about this dress over other button front dresses is how a longer slit is left at the bottom, which allows more room for movement, yet it isn’t so high that makes it inappropriate for school. That’s a win-win, I’d say! 😃

For this 4th look, I chose to layer a Mudd shirt over the dress. This is a perfect method of layering for fall, as it’s 2 lighter layers of clothing, which is a must especially if you live in a hot and humid state like me. For the last several years, leopard print has been in and I honestly don’t see it going anywhere. This particular leopard blouse is unique in the color with the vintage feel. It’s a more trendier approach to your typical animal print!
