Born Pretty Store Makeup Haul & Review

*Press sample*

Hey babes! I received a few items from Born Pretty Store months ago, yeah I’m not exaggerating lol. It honestly took a lot to review these products, mainly because they weren’t worth bragging about. The palette was actually not half bad. It’s convenient and most of the colors actually work. The lipstick was “ok,” but not anything worth taking your bra off for. The “kajal eyeliner” is absolutely horrible and that’s putting it mildly. I’ll show you what I mean. I’ll begin with the good stuff, then flip your world upside down.

Perfect Shimmer Eyeshadow Palette with Mirror For Eye Makeup (8 Colors) $10.98

I can say that the packaging is super slim and sleek. It is quite convenient for traveling as it has a mirror at the top, making touchups for any makeup easy peasy.

So you should know by now that I deem the sponge tip applicators to be virtually useless, so let’s not get too excited about those.

Not bad for palette shadows. The trick with these is that you have to use a sticky primer such as the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk to actually see the colors on your eyes. Don’t let my primeless arm swatches fool you. Aside from my mild humor, this palette is actually very pretty.

Super pretty in the tube right?

Don’t let this color fool you either. It took some vigorous bicep swipes across my lips to get the color this intense. Save your money. You can find a color such as this elsewhere, requiring a lot less labor.

Ok I’m mentally preparing you for this next item. You’ve been warned.

What is this, kajal eyeliner you say? I digress. Also, another item that took multiple swipes (okay practically scrubs) to get the color this “intense,” for lack of a better word. Pleaseee don’t waste your money on this unless you really despise color and just need something to get you by in this colorful world. All jokes aside though, this color would actually work decently as an eyeshadow primer. Maybe that’s what they meant instead of “kajal eyeliner.” Tuh.

So yeah, there’s my thoughts on these products. The palette is the only thing I like out of the bunch. The lipstick is also somewhat nice, but I have other lipsticks that take much less effort to apply than this one. You may find these items and even more beauty at Born Pretty Store here. Use my coupon “SEXH10” for 10% off al items on the website!

I will also have a makeup tutorial posted using these products in a couple of days, so make sure you check back for that!

  1. […] I have had an epiphany…I write a lot better when I’m not rushing to get a blog post up. This is contrary to my school papers, where I constantly procrastinate and write a paper filled with BS. Oh well. My professors have never noticed it and it sounds good to them, so I shall continue that path! On a serious note though, you will see loads of improvement in my writing here as I plan to prepare my posts in advance, such as the one I posted 2 nights ago. […]
