Casual Cool

Living in Texas, comfort during the heat is key, though I’ll be honest. I have heard of linen being an appropriate fabric to wear during the summer, but whoever said this must not have ever visited the South. Living in the South where there is high humidity, linen is not such a good idea. I was; however, determined to make it still work somehow, so I packed my latest Bella Dahl pieces on my recent New York trip!

I must also say that I have never owned anything linen, other than a white dress I bought for my sorority initiation in university. Boy, have I been missing out! Not only were these pieces lightweight, but they offered me just the right amount of warmth for the NYC breeze when wearing them. I think I may just be able to get away with these in TX, even if I have to roll up the sleeves!

Let’s also take a second to talk about these Nalho espadrilles. They are not average, let me tell you. I found so much comfort wearing these around New York, after being so nervous about bringing them, thinking they were regular sandals with no sole. Boy, was I wrong! These actually have memory foam in the sole, which of course makes them more comfortable to walk long or short distances in. I am very impressed with these and wish I had them in a few of the other colors they offer. I also couldn’t believe how affordable they are, so much cheaper than some of my other sandals with a not so great sole!
