All around the world, there are children in need. In fact, 1 in 5 children in America are affected by poverty. In winter particularly, coats are a budget “extra” for the nearly 15% of Americans living in poverty. Furthermore, there are 700 homeless people who die from hypothermia every year. This is a consistent problem, where I’m glad there are brands like J. Crew who are dedicated to giving back in the time of need. This year, J. Crew is hosting their second annual coat drive in stores nationwide in partnership with One Warm Coat, one of the nation’s leading independent coat drive organizations! 😁
Last year alone, over 12,000 coats were collected in J. Crew stores and the goal is to collect even more this time around. You have until 12/25 to donate to this amazing cause and those who do will receive $25 off a purchase of $125+!

I love companies that give back! I just donated almost half of my closet to a local LA shelter. It is so sad how much poverty exists. I cannot believe that 1 in 5 children are affected by poverty.
