As you probably know, I haven’t been shy about my feelings of winter lingering too long. I mean, don’t get me wrong. I am probably one of the biggest fans of winter, but this time around, wearing sweaters got old rather quickly for me. That being said, I was past ready for spring to roll in so I could cue the light layers, chic dresses and spring hats. Walmart actually just launched their spring campaign, We Dress America, which celebrates diversity in fashion and style all across the board, no matter who you are. I am sharing the look that reflects my best, authentic self with a few pieces I selected from Walmart!
I always get excited when new seasons come around because that usually means new styles to pick from. Walmart has a comprehensive selection of fashionable offerings, ranging from clothing all the way to accessories. Now when I select an outfit, I tend to start with choosing a base piece and style everything around that so the look is much easier to put together. For my base piece, I went with the Time and Tru Women’s Sleeveless Knit Dress. Ever since I can remember, I have always gravitated towards basic dresses like these and I especially love this one. For one, it’s nice and stretchy, coming in several different colors and sizes. I went with there dress in the color Bay Leaf for this look. It’s a dress I highly recommend, being available at such an affordable price, only under $10!
As a layering piece, I went with the Time and Tru Women’s Tape Yarn Cardigan in the color Olive. Like the dress, this cardigan also comes in multiple colors. With monochromatic looks being in for the spring, Walmart is right on trend with their offerings in pieces in similar hues. Another thing I love about this cardigan is how lightweight it is, while still offering a bit of warmth from any cool air that may arise. Here in Dallas, the temperature goes up and down very quickly. It may or may not be cool enough for a thick coat, while it may not be an appropriate temperature for a sleeveless piece. This lightweight cardigan is perfect because it’s so easy to layer over my sleeveless knit dress from Walmart and better yet, they’re both very affordable! ☺️
As an accessory, I chose the Time and Tru Women’s Tassel Band Floppy Hat. Now what I like about this is that you can style it with any of your looks, at any time. It’s also a neutral color that goes with any other color you may be wearing. The tassels at the back add such a nice touch to the hat as well! If you wanted, you could totally rock these at the front for a just as chic look!

Girl Walmart has definitely been stepping their game up with the fashion. Every time I go to shop there I see something that catches my eye! The next time I go I will surely keep my eyes open for this ensemble. Cute!

WOW, I had no idea that Walmart has been stepping it up lately! I wonder if their manufacturing processes for their new clothes are transparent or ethical – that’s the thing prevents me from shopping there, but if they address it, that’d be nice because everything you’ve featured is so cute!
