I have been getting numerous questions about this hair, both online and in person. I have been wearing it for the past 2 weeks and I’ve finally taken it out officially lol. I have wanted to try ombre hair for quite some time now and figured extensions were the safest way to do it without possibly damaging my relaxed hair. Weave has totally changed my entire outlook on coloring hair since it’s not permanent and I can change it as often as I want!
I received this hair from UniWigs about a month or so ago. The great thing about their ombre hair is that you can customize it whatever colors you’d like. I happened to select the standard colors, which you can find upon clicking the hyperlink above. I did have to use nearly 2 packs of the hair to achieve the thickness I wanted since my own hair is so thick. See the result below.
Though this hair is body wave and it’s human hair, it isn’t the silkiest. It doesn’t tangle like some hair I have had in the past does, but it doesn’t stay untangled either. I am constantly brushing my hair throughout the day to make sure it doesn’t get stuck together. Next time I wash it, I will try to curl it and see how that goes. One plus is that my own hair isn’t silky, so that helps this hair looks a bit more natural with my own, even though it does tend to tangle a bit.
Overall, I love the color and volume. It adds thickness to my own hair and provides a little more protection when I work out since I don’t have to style my hair as much when I have these extensions installed. I do apply a little touch of argan oil before I wrap my hair at night so it remains straight even after I work up a sweat. You may find the extensions here.
