Wedding Date Has Been Chosen!!! #FudgeNCandie

As I mentioned in a post before (or not, can’t remember), our wedding planning would take off as soon as we were moved and settled into Dallas. As of a few days ago, we have set a date! We both said that summer wouldn’t work; all you have to do is look at the weather and humidity here to see why!

So without further ado, we decided right off that autumn would probably be best (though winter would have been a great choice for me as well), but I am definitely ready to be married and don’t want to wait that long haha. We have both decided on the date of September 15, 2018!

We have also decided on a location in Louisiana; the exact location is unknown currently. I am looking at the Louisiana Castle in Franklinton, LA, which has been a dream of mine since my friend got married there years back, but the cost is kind of up there to be honest, so we shall see! Luckily for me, Keshaun is being quite flexible with our wedding planning and is leaving mostly everything up to me. Now I get to really let my creative juices flow! I’ll be letting y’all in during the process as well, so get excited 😉

Another thing I’ll have to consider is my bridal party. I have a general list of who I want, but I have to be really careful about who I put in charge, as far as maid and/or matron. One thing I do not want is a botched up planning process, nor do I want anyone cheap in charge. I am frugal, but not cheap. Though those are synonymical, they’re different. There’s a way to save money without looking cheap, you know? Make sense? 

In deciding who I want, I will be following this checklist to decide who I want to place into that role. It’s a role that comes with a lot of responsibility, something I do not want to be taken lightly. In other words, I have some serious decision making to do regarding this!

Also curious about the hashtag in the title? Well, “Fudge” is Keshaun’s last name and some people call me “Candie.” It’s almost like fudge candy was meant to always be called that, like the two of us were meant to be together! (I promise I’m not that cheesy IRL btw.)
