BetterLength.com Light Yaki Hair Extensions Review

Hello everyone!

I have another hair extensions review for you all. This is my first time reviewing light yaki hair so I was really excited to go that route this time. For one, I hate yaki texture. My hair is unruly as it is and I don’t need extra unruliness lol. It tangles and it’s just too big and out there for me. I don’t have the time for the extra maintenance. As a result, I generally go with silky as I have not had issues with blending or tangling in the past. Here’s how the BetterLength light yaki extensions blend with my own hair.

As shown, they blend really well and look very natural. One issue I have is that they do tend to tangle, even after brushing. I have a habit of running my fingers through my weave throughout the day and often times my fingers get stuck when attempting this with this hair. I experienced minimal shedding.

This hair texture does hold curl slightly better than silky texture. I find that the most healthy way to keep loose waves while exercising is to braid my hair into pigtails and brush through it in the morning. It keeps me from using heat and helps the hair dry semi-curly without much effort. I do; however, curl my ends about once or twice a week.

Also, one set was sufficient for my thick hair, which is rare. The bundles were sewn in a way that most companies fail to do for those of us with abnormal hair density. That was a definite plus because I know I won’t have to spend extra money in the future to get extra grams.

Another positive and negative is the packaging in which my hair was mailed. The box is really nice with a cute ribbon to hold my extensions. However, I doubt I’ll ever use it. It smelled like feces. I wish there was a better word to describe the odor, but that’s pretty much it. I even cleaned the box out with Lysol and let it air out and the smell is still there. It’s such a shame because it’s a really sturdy, nice box.

Overall, the hair was great in all aspects, minus the tangling. I hold my hair a certain way while brushing to prevent hair loss. Be sure to use my coupon “sexycandieeyes” for $8 off any hair on this site until 11/15/14!
