This is going to be a different type of post, as I have never done nail swatches or any type of review related to nail polish…at least I don’t believe I have lol. It is something new I plan to begin doing since I have accumulated a bunch of nail colors. Keep in mind, this is brand new to me, so any suggestions may have I will of course be open to.
I was given the opportunity by Madam Glam to select 6 nail polishes from their website to try. At the time and for a long while afterwards, I had acrylic nails, so it was kind of hard to swatch everything. I’m currently taking an extended break from them, so I decided to get them swatched for you. I chose mostly pastels since those are what I’m lacking in my collection. Here are the shades!
Sweet Call – This is your typical, perfect bubblegum pink shade. It doesn’t give off that Pepto Bismol appearance that everyone dreads. It fits right into fall with the major pastel trend.
So Nude – This is the perfect nude polish (maybe slightly lighter than nude) for my skin. It’s subtle enough to wear for an interview. Great color payoff as well.
Amor Azul – Blue love…that it is. Another great pastel for the fall. It reminds me of a nail polish version of MAC Clear Sky Blue Pigment with a glossy finish.
Over the Rainbow – This glitter is beautiful on its own. It has larger chunks of glitter along with smaller ones, but the polish itself isn’t clumpy. You could definitely get away with wearing this as a solo polish and still get that intense glitter payoff.
Green Watermelon – This is a nice pastel mint green. It is exactly the shade I was going for. It works really well with my skin tone too, which is an added bonus.
Subtle Flame – This color was disappointing to me. I expected it to have larger and more visible flecks of glitter. I brushed about 4 coats of this on to get the intensity shown above. It would work well for a very subtle polish and maybe as a light layering polish. However, this is not one of my favorites.
These are truly some nice polishes. I polished each of my nails a different color and no joke; my nails had no chipping until after the 4th day (with no top coat!). I highly recommend these if you’re a nail polish junkie, or you just more of a variety of colors to add to your stash. You may find Madam Glam nail polishes here. cute but i love layering cloors i figured out how when i was younger i would paint my nails 1 color 1 day then another the next it looked bad but now that i’m a tween/ teen i figured out how to do it your take a neon color then take a light sparkly color it will be neon with sparkles if you want use nail art and add a design
