Summer may be less than a couple of weeks away on the calendar, but in my eyes and with this heat in Texas, it has already made its appearance. When summer does roll around, one of the things I like to enjoy is sipping on a refreshing beverage, as it cools me off and just relaxes me overall. It’s even better when the drinks are inexpensive. Thanks to the DOLLAR L.I.T. at Applebee’s® Neighborhood Grill + Bar, I am able to enjoy my drinks and not break the bank!

The DOLLAR L.I.T. is just what it looks like; it’s a $1 alcoholic beverage that consists of vodka, rum, gin, tequila and triple sec, combined with sweet & sour mix and a splash of cola. It’s definitely not your average long island iced tea, price or flavor wise. I was pleasantly surprised with how well it tasted, even with it only being a $1. It is also served in Applebee’s signature Mucho Glass over ice!

Another thing I should mention is that the DOLLAR L.I.T. is not a happy hour drink; it is available all day, every day. I can’t think of a better way to kick off summer with friends, a date, or even solo like I did in this post!

I just loved how I was able to not have to spend dinner prices on food and my drink. I ended up paying for pretty much the price of lunch…and a $1 extra. Your money can stretch pretty far with this deal at Applebee’s and to me, that’s pretty important with all the summer traveling I’ve been doing lately.
